It was my last day working on the Bosque Seco project, between Pacasmayo and Trujillo, in Peru, so we visited the coast of the village of Jequetepeque, where we spotted pelicans and other types of birds.
While we were entertained watching the fish, on our right, on the other side of the river, a large group of people on horseback was approaching. We got as close as we could, and eventually watched them come towards us across the estuary. We ended up talking and photographing a unique moment.
